Are You Unshakable

Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. Hebrews 12:26-28
To become unshakable necessitates that you must be shaken to determine what is in your life needs to be removed. It is inherent in the shaking that those things which can be shaken are revealed. The goal is to remove everything that is not kingdom so that our life is founded on the unshakable kingdom.
Nobody signs up for the shaking. It is not designed to throw you off balance or devastate your life. It is designed to put you in a place where you are not moved no matter what comes.
Peter tells us "Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you." The fiery trials prove the genuineness of our faith which is more valuable than gold.
God wants us to be unshakable so the enemy cannot move us off our faith. As we progress in our faith the Devil loses power over us. As we are called to overtake the gates of hell the only recourse Satan has is to get us to pull back or give up.
God wants to position you where the enemy cannot weed you out. Where you cannot be diverted or distracted from what He has called you to do which is to fully function as a son or daughter of the kingdom.
Habakkuk was disturbed by what was going on around him. He was asking God for answers as to why it looked like evil was winning. He was definitely in a where are you God moment. The baseline of God's response is this well-known phrase "The just will live by faith". He was telling Habakkuk not to be shaken by what you see but to be confident I am working.
We cannot overestimate the value of becoming unshakable. Therefore we value the shaking because it reveals those things that are not kingdom.
After the Spirit descended on Jesus at His baptism He was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tried by the Devil. After 40 days, He returned in the power of the Spirit. Whenever the shaking comes and you allow it to do its work you will come out on the other side walking in a greater power than you had before it came.
When Jesus was arrested his disciples scattered. They were shaken by His death. After He revealed Himself to them after His resurrection they returned. But He still commanded them to wait in Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit came. He had promised them another, one who would not leave them as orphans in this world.
The first step in our journey must be an initial encounter with the Holy Spirit. His baptism of power will jump-start our path to becoming unshakable. We don't have to achieve this on our own we have one sent to come alongside us. He embodies the unshakable kingdom. He will help us to become the unshakable sons and daughters of the kingdom.
